Olive mills in Nicosia

Olive mills process harvested olives into oil, typically offering services such as weighing, washing, crushing, malaxing and extraction, with options for filtering or storage. Visitors can compare mills by their extraction methods, capacity during peak season, waiting times for deliveries, and how they handle separation of different batches to avoid mixing. It is also worth asking about hygiene practices, how by-products are managed, and whether they provide advice on fruit quality, timing of harvest or temporary storage of the resulting oil. Some mills also bottle or package oil for their customers.
