About this category

Art galleries exhibit and often sell works such as paintings, prints, photography, sculpture and mixed-media pieces by local and international artists. Visitors can expect rotating exhibitions, permanent collections or artist showcases, and some galleries also offer framing, art consultancy, commissions or valuation advice. When planning a visit, it helps to check current exhibition dates, opening hours, whether entry is free and whether works are available for purchase. Asking about provenance, edition sizes, condition and delivery arrangements is sensible before buying any piece.
